ROA Premium vs Standard Races

Our Premium Races include: Highlander, YAKathon, Monster Dash 5K, Hot Pursuit 5K and our upcoming 2013 races The Intimidator, and The Patriot 5K.

What is a Premium Race vs. another Rock On Adventures race? Glad you asked. Rock On Adventures is expanding the Obstacle/Adventure/Offroad Running market by adding new and different types of races to fit and accommodate many different types of runners. To try and clarify the difference in the races we are categorizing the different types of races into Premium and Standard Races.

Premium Races -
A Rock On Adventures race that offers participants and spectators a wide variety of features at the event. Each participant will receive a custom tshirt, themed and challenging offroad courses, engaging spectator area, great food and entertainment. Only the "obstacle races" (Highlander, Monster Dash 5K, Hot Pursuit 5K, The Patriot 5K, The Intimidator) offer each participant a finisher medal. The YAKathon Adventure Race is the only Premium Race that does NOT offer finisher medals. The Monster Dash 5K is the only Premium Race that is not timed and does NOT offer age group or overall awards.

Standard Races -
Rock On Adventures also offers standard adventure foot races that are typically run in a series (Winter and Summer) consisting of 3-4 races spread over a few months. ROA will also offer occasional Standard Offroad 5K races. These races do not offer medals but the top 20-30 male and female to cross the finish line at these races will be rewarded with a special prize. Each participant in these races will receive an event tshirt and there will be food and beverages available but the overall event is smaller scale in terms of entertainment. These races are geared toward "Promoting Fitness Thru Adventures" and building friendships and team building fitness through offroad running adventures. These races are perfect training opportunities for our Premium Races.
